About

Copperworks is a dynamic film, television, and digital media production company based in Sudbury, Ontario, dedicated to crafting high-quality stories for a global audience. Founded in 2011 by partners Tara Levesque and Dennis Landry, Copperworks thrives on collaboration, working closely with like-minded creatives to bring compelling narratives to life.

With over two decades of experience in the public, non-profit, and private sectors of the cultural industries, Levesque and Landry bring a deep well of expertise in production development and management. Their extensive portfolio includes production management on 112 episodes of narrative television, co-producing 13 episodes, line producing a feature film, and overseeing production on two unscripted documentary series.

Beyond their production work, Levesque and Landry have played a vital role in the growth of Northern Ontario’s film and television industry since the early 2000s. Through Copperworks, they continue to expand their impact, offering services in production management, line producing, project packaging, and industry consulting, ensuring the success of both their own projects and those of their collaborators.

Since 2023, Copperworks has placed a strong focus on supporting underrepresented creatives, actively working to provide support to creatives from underrepresented communities, and have supported three short films made by indigenous and Metis creatives, offering emerging talent the resources and guidance needed to bring their visions to life.

Recognizing the importance of mentorship and industry access, Copperworks is increasingly committed to fostering the next generation of storytellers. Through hands-on support, collaboration, and industry connections, the company is dedicated to creating meaningful opportunities for new and diverse voices in film, television, and digital media.
